Bring your own device
BYOD tools help companies manage and protect their business data on mobile devices. The functions of a BYOD software may be compared to the tasks of the Blackberry Enterprise Server. Company apps like mail or other company specific apps reside on the mobile device in an encrypted area, called sandbox. In case of loss or theft, company data on the device may be deleted remotely. BYOD software also helps to enforce policies for device and software usage (e.g.minimum required version, access of internet sites etc.).
